Hi there,

The front badge on my CF250 has been poorly painted with what looks like white emulsion. I’m keen to repaint it, but not sure what the best paint to use is, and whether the face of the letters were only painted white, or if the sides were painted also?

Many thanks!

On the plastic BEDFORD badge just the faces of the letters were painted (silver or Polar white).

Restore the badge to medium gloss or matt black (charcoal to be exact) then use a small sponge roller to apply colour of choice in low-VOC paint, e.g. slow drying brushing enamel.

It may be necessary to build up two or three thin coats to obtain full colour rather than try to do it in one go. Check paint instructions for correct thinning and re-coat time - some have to tack dry only for re-coating, others may have to dry for 24 hour or more.

That’s brilliant. Cheers Phil.
