Hello,

As Some might know I have a Bedford hymer with a 2.3 petrol engine.
I had a few issues and parts I wished to replace/have as a spare.
Since I can buy a 1.8 slant for cheap i wanted to see What would be possible to re-use on my 2.3.
I want to use
Starter
Exhaust manifold
Delco dizzy
Mech fuel pump.

Would like to hear Whats possible to see If Im Gonna buy this engine

Thank you

Check the number on the distributor body: 9977151 will fit both engines without modifications.

Earlier 1759cc distributors have different mechanical and vacuum advance as well as dwell angle (determined by cam profile).

Starter, manifolds and fuel pump are interchangeable.

Main thing that won't swap is the cylinder block (even an earlier cylinder head without rotator caps on the exhaust valve springs is worth keeping as a spare these days).
