Hi all I've just spotted this on the Internet Simon Boak (the one who used to host Pickering) has three rallies Hull,Great Yorkshire Steam Fair and Whitby Traction Engine Rally its on the same time Pickering would have been on this year so anyone interested I've put a link on for a commercial enters form if you have any problems downloading it then go to pickeringsteam.com.

I've found out a little bit more on this event it's being held on the field next to Whitby abbey, so print a form off and send it in if you wish to exhibit there.

Hi Tina and Dee we are up at the Whitby college site ATM some friends have booked public camping on the Whitby Tracion Rally and they can get in from Wednesday mid day so that's when we are leaving the college site I've never seen it this full in all the years I've been coming mind you we don't usually get here until bank holiday Monday so see you both there.

Hi all just got back from 10 days in Whitby 5 days on the temporary Holliday site Whitby college and 5 days at Whitby traction engine rally, it was the first time a steam rally has been held at Whitby I suppose the show was ok for the first time but a lot of improvement required to organise it better, they had NO BEER TENT which didn't go down well. I met Tina & Dee ,Andy cleeds made an appearance for one day also saw Wayne & Jackie, for the first two days I had really bad back ache and the last three days i had a stiff neck and came home with it, all in all a good rally looks like it's taking the place of Pickering rally.
