ok many thanks to all reply's i have now sorted glow plugs dodgy live feed it has the later ignition controlled relay but im not having much look in locating a new or second hand Pierburg valve :( and im not seeing on my engine were it used to fitted it all looks to be there as no open pipes or brackets for any other parts yes i thought the same thing my self but it dose have original glow plug light in the clocks :)

Pierburg valve is (1) fitted to the filter head outlet using a banjo bolt and copper washers like on the inlet -

Hose to the injection pump inlet then is connected to the valve outlet.

Some part numbers that may help in searching for a valve:

GM 8966107, superseded by GM 90264611.
Pierburg 71555402 or 715554020.
Opel 813384, 90280322.
