We need to buy a new lift pump and have difficulties finding one because we are in spain and the garage cannot figure out how to find the right one. So, does anyone (phil? ;)) know the part number for a lift pump on a 1984 cf. here is the chassi number for more details: 97K60CV603478.

Thanks!

Any lift pump for the GM 2.0, 2.1 or 2.3 diesel engine should fit (e.g. Rekord E, Omega A, Carlton mk II & mk III as well as Bedford CF, Opel Blitz).

Direct match:
GM 5506951, 25061460
Quinton Hazell QFP69

Indirect match:
AC Delco 46154 (inlet and outlet pipes parallel)
Augros 5041425/Q
Auto Delta ADP945
FAI BFP165
Opel 816045, 816071
Pierburg 7.02242.33.0 (inlet and outlet pipes parallel)
Pierburg 7.20977.52.0
Unipart GFP115

Only the GM pumps have an inlet screen filter under a cap secured by a single screw and otherwise cannot be dismantled.
After-market pumps generally are of different construction (often can be dismantled down to diaphragm and valves) and may not have an internal screen filter. An inline filter may be installed on the inlet side of the pump to prevent ingress of foreign matter affecting the valves. Filter with metal ends is less likely to cause air leaks compared to plastic body filters.

Fuel pump for the Opel CIH (Cam In Head) petrol engine also should fit but the inlet and outlet pipes positions vary according to model and often the outlet pipe is 6mm instead of 8mm (e.g. Cavalier mk II).
