Yes I put a cf2 front rail from top of windscreen onto a cf1, and when it came to fitting the windscreen the contour was different and we had a hard time sealing it in as it didn't fit correctly. The bit you showed in the picture may be almost the same, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

Hi teh, currently there are some great repair sections on eBay. Also, I replaced my rotten CF1 screen surround with a donor surround from a Facelift, or CF2, and apart from the rain channels going under the bonnet, and a couple of small fill panels on the inside of the a pillar, I couldn't find a difference with the actual screen aperture. I test fit my old screen in the donor section with the old rubber still on it and it seemed to fit well.

That's good to know, are you able to link me to any of these repair sections? I look almost daily but haven't found one that covers the top of the windscreen / front of the roof.

Hi the, the piece I had previously seen on eBay is back, but unfortunately it's vastly expensive. Sorry about that.

Not to worry

Are you still working on yours? The first thing I did when I joined the forum was look through your restoration blog here, it was good stuff.

Thanks teh, nice to know there was some useful info in all my efforts! Unfortunately the restoration got put on hold as all my metalworking equipment got stolen from my garages, and then I had a baby! But now finally the van is booked I to get finished of next month at a place down in London, so fingers crossed!
