I've been searching through the forum and noticed that the rope seal is still being used on rebuilds. I've imported some of the new rubber lip seal which is a vast improvement over the rope seal and far easier to fit. I've been using them for a few years now and lots of other Slant 4 owners have converted to them. They are £18 plus package and postage, total £20 to UK addresses.

PM me if there is any interest, I currently only have 2 in stock. The next batch may cost more as the £ rate has fallen since I last imported some.

I've posted this in the parts section too but it may be classified as a modification so I've double posted. If the admin wish to remove the double post i will not be offended.

Not at all. No harm in leaving things be. :thumb:

Thanks for getting in touch, Thierry. I've sent you a PM and email. I suggest that you remove your email address from the post to avoid getting spam.

I've a new batch of these arriving this week with 2 which which have not been pre-ordered. So if you're planning an engine re-fresh this winter get one now.

These have proved very popular, so much so that I've ordered another batch. The exchange rate changes have dictated that they need to be a little more expensive at £18.50 plus P&P. so the total will be £20.50 inc postage to a UK address. At the minute I've got 5 not allocated so don't hesitate to secure yours.

I've just checked my stock of these seals and I have only 5 left. As the manufacturer in the USA requires a minimum order of 50 to bring the cost down to a reasonable level i probably won't order another batch.

If you're considering rebuilding your Slant 4 soon then order one while you can. :thumb:
