I'm still awaiting more information before deciding the fate of Etheldead, but something I keep seeing is engine swaps in the CF are tricky due to the slant engine/ mounts.
I've also been trying to find engine parts in case I do keep the CF and dicover the engine needs work.
This has had me start to wonder if anyone has ever fitted a Dolomite 1850, Sprint, or TR7 engine? They're also slant, and quite well supported via owners clubs and specialists. I don't know how easy it would be to also use the Triumph or Rover gearbox in a CF, but those too don't seem ultra rare.
Not a swap I'm thinking of any time soon, I was just reading one of the intro threads where someone had a cooked 2.3, and it got me thinking.
Where to find help when you want to change major units on your CF - engine, transmission, brakes etc. - or upgrade earlier models to later specifications.
