Lucas turn signal lamp with clear lens (2 screws) originally was for Italy only but was discontinued early on. Wipac lamp (clip-on lens) only came as amber.

Earlier LandRover front side lamps with Ba15s socket for 207 bulb (5W) can be used with 382 bulb (21W) or the amber equivalent (383). Defender to 1994 lamps also will do but may have different bulb sockets.

I already have clear Lucas L760 lamps, with amber 21w halogen ba9s bulbs(quite hard to find). From eBay i found many kind of those lamps, with different socket or bulbs etc. Lens itself is bit smaller diameter than original, but rubber is same size when its bolted. Those needed to drill new screw holes, nothing else. Do you ment those or Lucas L691 which have chrome bezel. Those L760 are otherwise great, but they don’t have chrome bezel as original L836. So does someone knows will those L691 lamps fit. Original L836 with clear lens would be best as it has more modern look with flat lens but also very rare I think.

I think the holes for the securing screws for 691 lamps are way off for the CF but it's a long while since I used any and can't be sure.

My friend have those on his custom van, and they are too small to original place. Thanks anyway. :thumb:

Hi,

a lot of French vans have clear indicators. I'll see if there's a part number on my lenses if you want.

Thanks, that would be nice! I have tried to find them from ebay, but haven't found even old ads.

Hi,

two of my three cfs are fitted with Lucas L836 clear lamps, while the third has amber indicators. I hadn't really noticed before! I guess they came as standard on some yeras for the French market. Both my '76 cf340 flatbed and my '76 cf250D panel van have them, whereas the '78 cf230 Trailblazer has the amber indicators.

I also found one complete identical unit in my spares.
