I (well, my wife Jayne and I, Gareth) have just bought a CF Autosleeper with a genuine 62,000 on the clock. Been well-cared for too, with all the period stuff in good order and some appropriate upgrades to the fabric of the vehicle. It's not too bad body-wise and the engine doesn't knock on start-up or smoke.
Various upgrades in a long pipeline, possibly a different gearbox (syncro shot on 2nd & 3rd) although the overdrive works fine. Disks on the front and maybe power steering (for my wife you understand )
Longer term I have an alloy LS V8 that I've fitted/had in a Mazda RX8 for 4 years and being inside the outer London LEZ I may need to be some sort of EURO compatible (which the LS is). 1983 registered so not historic just yet which would exempt it.
Current fault list is alternator not charging, fuel not being supplied by fuel tank (suspect split rubber pipe atop the tank or something internal letting in air, that's the carbs job!!)
