Hello all,

There was a time when I hankered for fast cars and a lifestyle to match, middle age has blossomed with a family and sandals, and of course Bedford Annie, our 1982 cf250. 2.3 petrol.

Oh what heady dreams!

Like so many before...advance apologies for daft questions that are bound to follow.

To get the ball rolling...what should the operating temp of the engine be and what should be my best cruising speed? Should I also be adding a fuel additive?

Look forward to advice from the sages out there.

Hi and welcome to the club. :thumb:

For operating temperature (lack of or too much) - Help centre > Bedford CF specific questions > Cooling system.

Cruising speed: about 50mph, or what you can bear in terms of noise and rattling teeth...

LRP additive: yes, but also check valve clearances every 3000 mile - Help centre > Bedford CF specific questions > Engine > Petrol for any questions.
